A 42-year-old Dublin man appeared at The Bridewell District Court today, charged with having in his possession €220,000 worth of heroin on Saturday evening.

A 42-year-old Dublin man appeared at The Bridewell District Court today, charged with having in his possession €220,000 worth of heroin on Saturday evening.

Brendan Reilly, of Langrishe Place, Summerhill, Dublin, was arrested at 11pm on Saturday evening and charged at 9.24pm the following evening under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

He made no reply to the charges.

Detective Vincent Campbell of the Drugs Unit at Store St garda station told Judge Cormac Dunne that he objected to bail.

Judge Dunne denied bail to Mr Reilly and remanded him to Cloverhill Prison to appear in court again this Friday, June 22.
