Motorcyclist killed in Tipperary accident

A teenage motorcyclist has been killed in an accident in Co Tipperary.

Gardaí in Thurles said the accident happened at around 3pm at Melison, Glengoole, on the Urlingford to Killenaule Road.

The 19-year-old youth was injured and taken to St Joseph's Hospital in Clonmel where he died.

The road is closed pending an examination of the scene.
