Counting to resume in nine outstanding constituencies
The counting of votes will resume this morning in the nine constituencies that have still not declared the final results of Thursday's election.
Thirty-four of the 43 counts are complete, with Fianna Fáil on 71 seats, Fine Gael 43, Labour 16, the Greens five, Sinn Féin three, independents three and the PDs two.
The nine constituencies that have yet to fill their final seats are Dublin North, Dublin North East, Dublin South Central, Cork North Central, Galway West, Laois/Offaly, Longford/Westmeath, Tipperary South and Wicklow.
A recount has been ordered in Dublin North at the request of Labour's Brendan Ryan, who was eliminated by 11 votes late last night.
