Man crushed under truck in Co Kildare

A man has died after being crushed under a truck during a workplace accident in Co Kildare yesterday evening.

The man was operating a dumper truck in Ardenode, near Ballymore Eustace, when the vehicle overturned and trapped him underneath.

He was rushed to Naas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Health and Safety Authority and the gardaí have both launched investigations into the matter.
