Jury sworn in as Donegal man faces rape charges
A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Donegal man charged with attempted rape.
The 25-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to attempted rape in a van of a woman he met outside a disco in a Co Donegal town on October 1, 2006 and to sexually assaulting her on the same occasion.
The hearing of evidence is scheduled to begin tomorrow and the trial is expected to continue for about five days before Mr Justice Kevin O'Higgins.
