SF to take up Policing Board places
Sinn Féin has announced that it is taking up its three places on the North's Policing Board to hold the PSNI to account.
The party said it wants to play a constructive role but won't shy away from criticising or questioning the police if necessary.
The confirmation that Sinn Féin will participate on the board follows the historic restoration of devolution in the North on May 8.
Policing spokesman Alex Maskey said his party wants to be a voice for communities who have only experienced bad policing in the past.
