Woman and two children killed in Tipperary crash

A woman and two children have been killed in a car crash in Co Tipperary this afternoon.

The accident happened at Longford Pass on the N8 just before 3pm.

The occupant of another car was injured and has been taken to Clonmel General Hospital.

The N8 is closed at present and diversions are in place.

Elsewhere, the main road between Claremorris and Balla, the N60, in Co Mayo is completely closed to traffic this evening following a serious accident.

Gardai and emergency services are at the scene.
