Two arrested after €1.2m heroin seizure in Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin are questioning two men today following a significant heroin seizure in the west of the city.
Six kilograms of the drug worth an estimated €1.2m were found when a jeep was stopped and searched at the junction of the River Road and the Navan Road last night.
An imitation firearm was also seized during the search, which was mounted as part of Operation Anvil, the ongoing crackdown on crime gangs across the country.
Two men aged 29 and 40 were arrested and taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station, where they remain in custody today.
