McAleese: Extraordinary day

The Northern Ireland Assembly carries the hopes of everyone as it plots a brighter new future for its citizens, President Mary McAleese said today.

Offering congratulations to the First and Deputy First Minister, Mrs McAleese said it was an extraordinary day for the province.
