More than 200 motorists rack up maximum penalty points

The number of motorists put off the road for racking up the maximum 12 penalty points has reportedly surpassed the 200 mark.

Reports this morning say a total of 212 drivers have been suspended for picking up 12 points since the scheme was introduced in October 2002.
