Up to 20 residents of a three-story north Dublin flat complex had to be evacuated in a dramatic rescue late last night after a fire broke out.

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were dispatched to a residential complex on the North Circular Road at around 2am after smoke from a blaze on a rubbish compound spread through open windows into the building.
