It is being reported that the Mahon Tribunal has raised questions about foreign exchange transactions relating to Bertie Ahern's finances during the 1990s.

According to this morning's Irish Times, the tribunal contends that the amount of money in Irish pounds lodged by Celia Larkin in a bank account in December 1994 does not equate to the STG£30,000 (€44,000) amount businessman Michael Wall supplied for renovations on a house he was letting to Bertie Ahern.

It is also being reported that the PDs have secured additional information about the matter which prompts questions about their willingness to re-enter government with Fianna Fáil.
