Climate change solutions available now: Sargent

Green Party leader Trevor Sargent TD said today that solutions to climate change exist and that Ireland must start implementing them immediately.

Speaking at a photocall in Dublin city centre as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) prepares to publish its third report on mitigating the effects of rising carbon emissions, Deputy Sargent said: "If we are serious about reducing our greenhouse gas emission then there is no shortage of opportunities to do so. We have the solutions, all that is lacking, as Al Gore has pointed out, is the political will.
