FG to highlight Government 'broken promises' on health
Fine Gael is using the fourth day of the election campaign to highlight the Government's "broken promises" in the area of health.
Party leader Enda Kenny is in the constituencies of Louth and Cavan/Monaghan, where the Fianna Fáil-PD failure to provide extra beds to the acute hospital system will be the focus.
In Louth, controversies including Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda will play a big role in the upcoming election.
Mr Kenny is visiting the hospital's maternity unit this morning before travelling to Cavan/Monaghan, where he will meet with members of the Monaghan Hospital Action Group.
Fine Gael's Liam Twomey, meanwhile, is setting up a temporary accident and emergency department on Dublin's Grafton Street to highlight crowded conditions in A&E units around the country.
