SF confident of gaining several Dáil seats nationwide

Sinn Féin says it is hoping to gain several Dáil seats across the country in the forthcoming general election.

The party is contesting 41 out of the 43 constituencies says it is campaigning on the basis that it can win a seat in each constituency.

The party leadership will be travelling around 29 constituencies over the next six days.

Sinn Féin chairperson Mary Lou McDonald says the party is confident of gaining seats in Dublin, Donegal, Sligo-Leitrim, Cork North Central, Waterford and Wexford.
