Man looked on as friend 'savagely' beat woman

A 21-year-old "coward" who stood by and watched as his friend "savagely" beat a young woman has received a three year suspended sentence after he paid the victim €1,000 in compensation.

Daniel Keogh of Kevin Barry House, Church Street , Dublin 7 pleaded guilty to assaulting Ms Dione Kavanagh causing her harm at Queen Street Apartments on February 26, 2005.
