Man dies following Belfast knife attack

A man died in hospital tonight after being stabbed in a knife attack in South Belfast.

He is understood to have suffered multiple stab wounds to the back and the chest in a flat in Grayspark Drive in the Belvoir area.

Police called an ambulance to the scene after finding the victim.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital but died a short time later.

A police spokesman said one man had been arrested.
