Govt under fire for attitude towards education for autistic children

The Department of Education has come in for intense criticism at a public meeting in Cork over its attitude to providing education for autistic children.

The meeting organised by Irish Autism Action heard last night that the money spent by the State on the recent O'Cuanachain case could provide specialised education for hundreds of children.
