Energy show to highlight eco-friendly options
The demand for eco-friendly energy sources is now high on Ireland’s national agenda, industry experts today claimed.
The organisers of the Energy Show, opening at the RDS in Dublin, said 4,000 people will attend the annual showcase for alternative energy sources.
Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) says the success of the event and the demand for alternative power sources in homes and businesses across Ireland reflects its arrival as a major issue.
“The growth in the sustainable energy sector over the past 12 months and the increased level of interest in the Energy Show clearly demonstrates that energy cost, availability issues and a willingness to embrace sustainable energy are now high on the national agenda,” SEI Chief Executive David Taylor said.
Seminars at the two-day event include discussions on effective energy management, liquid bio-fuels and renewable electricity.
More than 100 exhibitors will also cover topics such as wind and bio-energy, and lighting technology.
