DPP receives file on death of 16-year-old in Co Kilkenny

Gardaí have sent a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions in connection with the death of a 16-year-old girl at her family home in Co Kilkenny last November.

Ciara Gibbs was found dead at her home in Killure when her father and brother returned to the house after being away for the night.

Her mother was also found in a semi-conscious state and taken to hospital.

The results of the post mortem on Ms Gibbs' body have not been disclosed, but she is believed to have drowned in the bath.
