Fourth man sought in connection with Lurgan mortar bomb

Police in the North are seeking a fourth man in connection with the discovery of a mortar bomb in Lurgan, Co Armagh, two weeks ago.

Three men have already appeared in court in connection with the find on April 5.

They are charged with possessing explosives and conspiring to murder members of the security forces.

During a bail application yesterday for one of the three, a lawyer said that he was one of four men seen in a car linked to the bomb.

The car was bought using a false identity and the police believe it was purchased for use in a paramilitary operation.
