Tipperary death treated as suspicious
Gardaí in Co Tipperary are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a field on the outskirts of Thurles yesterday evening.
The discovery was made in a sports field off the Nenagh Road at around 7.30pm.
Gardaí say they are treating the death as suspicious and have sealed off the area for technical examination today.
A post mortem will also be carried out today to determine the cause of the man's death.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Co Kerry have launched a murder inquiry following a fatal stabbing at a house party in Killarney early yesterday morning.
The 30-year-old victim has been named as James Brazier, who is originally from England, but was living in the town.
