Man charged in Belfast terrorism investigation

Police investigating terrorism in the Belfast area have today charged a man with misconduct in public office.

The 22-year-old also faces charges of breaching the Data Protection Act and possessing information likely to be of use to terrorists.

A second man arrested during a raid by officers last Friday has been released.

The accused is to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
