The Irish Nurses Organisation has announced details of further work stoppages this Friday as part of its campaign for improved pay and conditions.

Members of the INO and Psychiatric Nurses Association walked off the job between 11am and midday today at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin, South Tipperary General Hospital and St Luke's psychiatric hospital in Clonmel.

Further protests are planned at the same time on Friday in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital, Roscommon General Hospital, St Ita's psychiatric facility and St Joseph's intellectual disabilities facility in Portrane and also in Roscommon mental health services.

The INO says it is also planning further stoppages next week if its demands are not addressed in the meantime.
