PSNI officers have come under attack while dealing with street disturbances in the Mount Pottinger area of east Belfast overnight.

PSNI officers have come under attack while dealing with street disturbances in the Mount Pottinger area of east Belfast overnight.

Stones, bottles and at least one petrol bomb were thrown at the police after they were called to the area to deal with reports of youths causing trouble.

One person was arrested in connection with the violence.

Meanwhile, four people were also arrested last night following separate disturbances that broke out after a junior Orange Order parade in Bangor, Co Down.
