A woman in her 20s is recovering in hospital after she was shot in the back in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin last night.

A woman in her 20s is recovering in hospital after she was shot in the back in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin last night.

The incident happened in the O'Moore Road area at around 10pm.

The victim was taken to St James' Hospital, where her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
