Man dies following Carlow road accident

A 29-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Co Carlow in the early hours of this morning.

The accident happened shortly before 1.30am at Knockroe in Borris.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area of the crash has been sealed off for technical examination later this morning.
