Man recovering after shooting in west Dublin

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot during an attack in the Blanchardstown area of west Dublin last night.

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot during an attack in the Blanchardstown area of west Dublin last night.

The incident happened in the Fortlawn area at around 9.30pm.

The victim was taken to nearby Connolly Hospital, where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

The exact nature of his injuries is unknown.
