Murdered woman's sister appeals for stronger laws
The Government is being asked to strengthen the law regarding violence against women.
The call comes from the sister of a murdered woman, who is attending a vigil in Co Louth today.
Irene White, a mother of three, was murdered on Good Friday two years ago at her home in Dundalk.
A total of 126 women have met violent deaths in the Republic since 1996.
Irene White's sister Anne wants the Government to take action to improve legislation.
