Labour survey reveals extent of two-tier health system

Private patients are almost three times more likely than public patients to be seen by a consultant within three months, according to the Labour Party.

A survey commissioned by the party has found that 80% of private patients are seen by consultants within this time period, compared to just 30% of public patients.
