DUP's McCrea says power-sharing deal 'turns his stomach'

Another leading member of the DUP has come out against the party's decision to enter government with Sinn Féin in May.

Yesterday, the party's only MEP, Jim Allister, resigned in protest at the power-sharing move.

The DUP MP for South Antrim, Willie McCrea, told the British House of Commons in London last night that he was also opposed to the development.

Speaking during a debate on legislation to allow for a restoration of power-sharing on May 8, he said the idea of the DUP in government with Sinn Féin turned his stomach.

However, he has not said if he is prepared to resign from the party in protest at the prospect.
