Prison officers seek compensation over 'slop out' incidents

More than 30 prison officers are reportedly seeking compensation from the State in cases related to the "slopping out" process in Irish jails.

Reports this morning say the officers are seeking damages for trauma and emotional distress for having excrement thrown over them by prisoners during the process.
