They were 64-year-old George Campbell from Annaloughan in Jenkinstown and 17-year-old David Keenan from Culfore, Mountpleasant in Dundalk.

George Campbell was the driver of a Renault Megane which was involved in a collision with an Audi on the main Dundalk to Carlingford road.

David Keenan was a passenger in the Audi.
