Man found dead 'may have had row'

Police investigating a man's death believe he may have been involved in a row before he died.

The victim, possibly in his 40s, was discovered in the early hours of this morning in the Shankill Street and Prospect Way area of Lurgan, Co Armagh, in the North. His was the third corpse found today.

Officers are probing the circumstances surrounding unrelated discoveries of a dead man near flats in the Killaney Avenue area of Lisburn and a woman in Colby Avenue, Derry.

Detectives want anybody who heard anything in the early hours of this morning near the Lurgan scene to contact them. They have sealed off the area for forensic examination.

Sinn Féin Assembly member John O'Dowd said it was unclear at this stage what may have happened in Lurgan.

"Our sympathy is with the family of the victim," the Upper Bann MLA said.
