PSNI officers attacked at site of military helicopter crash

Police in the North have come under attack at the site of a British military helicopter crash in south Armagh.

The PSNI says groups of youths threw stones, bottles and up to 30 petrol bombs at officers guarding the site of the crash near Crossmaglen last night.

Nobody was injured, but a number of police vehicles were damaged.

The helicopter crashed in a field close to Crossmaglen at the weekend, but there is nothing to suggest it was caused by paramilitary activity.
