Sydney police seeking third suspect after attack on Irishman
Police in Australia say they are still searching for a third suspect in connection with an assault on a young Irishman in Sydney last year.
Twenty-three-year-old John Counihan, from Mallow in Co Cork, was in a coma for several weeks after he was severely beaten by a gang of men outside a hotel in Bondi last September.
He spent two months in hospital, and had to have part of his skull removed.
Two men from New Zealand were charged in connection with the assault at the weekend. Police say they are looking for a third suspect who fled Australia after the incident.
