A teenager has been stabbed in the face in a suspected sectarian attack in Belfast city centre.

A teenager has been stabbed in the face in a suspected sectarian attack in Belfast city centre.

A gang of five men set upon the 17-year-old youth and his friend, who was punched about the head and face during the Shaftesbury Square assault on Saturday night.

The assailants were later seen walking towards Bradbury Place. The stabbed man was taken to hospital.
