Family of man run over by car thief appeals to British AG
The family of a man run down and killed by a car thief in the North have appealed to the British attorney general to review his sentence.
Gerard Gaskin, who killed Patrick Hanna after running him down in a stolen car, was given three years in jail but was released after 18 months and has since committed 30 more crimes.
Last December he was sentenced to 12 months in jail for burglary but served just two months.
The British attorney general, at the request of the Families Bereaved Through Car Crime group, is studying his criminal record.
