Cigarette delivery vans held up by raiders in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating the robbery of two cigarette delivery vans in west Dublin this morning.
The first robbery happened at around 9am, when a gunman stopped a van travelling through Blanchardstown.
The two employees on board were ordered to drive to a nearby location, where they were tied up in the back of the vehicle.
The cigarettes were transferred into a white Transit van, but were recovered during a Garda operation in Johnstown, Co Meath, in which two men were also arrested.
Around two hours later, a similar robbery occurred in Cabra when three men approached a cigarette delivery van carrying two employees and threatened them with a stun gun.
Their van was taken, along with its cargo, but was found abandoned a short time later
No arrests have been made following the second incident.
