EPA report highlights poor standards of sewage treatment

The Environmental Protection Agency has expressed concern about ongoing high levels of sewage being discharged into Irish rivers and coastal waters.

In a report out today, the agency says almost one-fifth of urban waste water was being discharged without treatment at the end of 2005.
