Ahern didn't watch 'career saving' interview

The Taoiseach has never watched the emotional interview he gave to RTÉ’s Bryan Dobson which helped save him during the biggest political crisis of his career, he revealed today.

Bertie Ahern’s political career appeared to be on the line for several days after revelations that he accepted separate cash donations in the early 1990s while Minister for Finance from Dublin friends and Manchester businessmen.
