Man due in court over fatal stabbing
A 19-year-old man is due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with today’s fatal stabbing in south Dublin.
Victim Alan Young, also 19, died in hospital after he was knifed during an incident on Bremen Road, Irishtown at 1.20am.
Mr Young was later pronounced dead at nearby St Vincent’s Hospital in Mount Merrion.
A Garda spokesman said tonight: “A 19-year-old man will appear at a sitting of Dublin District Court tomorrow morning at 10.30am charged in connection with the fatal stabbing.”
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and was held for questioning at Donnybrook Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
