Ahern and Blair to meet over Assembly poll results

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is to meet British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Friday morning to discuss the early results of the Northern Ireland Assembly elections, it emerged tonight.

The leaders, who have worked side by side on the peace process for a decade, will hold talks on the fringes of the European Council’s spring summit in Brussels.
