Labour: Government encouraging two-tier health system

Labour Party leader Pat Rabbitte is vowing to scrap the Government's plans to build private medical facilities on the sites of publicly-owned hospitals if his party is elected to power.

Mr Rabbitte told the Dáil today that Fianna Fáil should hang its head in shame for planning to give public sites to private investors motivated solely by profit.
