A 17-year-old youth has been charged with attempted murder following an attack in Belfast in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 17-year-old youth has been charged with attempted murder following an attack in Belfast in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 16-year-old was stabbed after he left a fast food outlet on the Stewartstown road in the west of the city at around 3am.

He was rushed to hospital and is in a stable condition.

The 17-year-old will appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
