Six arrested following protest outside Croke Park

Gardaí have arrested six people after minor scuffles near O’Connell Street in connection with the protest that took place outside Croke Park earlier in the day.

Gardaí have arrested six people after minor scuffles near O’Connell Street in connection with the protest that took place outside Croke Park earlier in the day.

Republican Sinn Féin organised the demonstration to protest England playing in the GAA headquarters.

The protest was attended by about 30 people.

President of Republican Sinn Féin, who had sent a letter of protests to the president of the GAA earlier in the day, denied any of those arrested were members of his party.
