Stardust families renew appeal for independent inquiry
The Stardust Victims Committee is renewing an appeal for the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern to mount an independent inquiry into the 1981 disaster.
Today marks the 26th anniversary of the St Valentine's fire in which 48 young people died and more than 200 were injured.
A government tribunal in 1981 found that the cause of the fire was "probable arson".
Relatives have long maintained that owner negligence was a contributory factor.
