Inquest into 1973 infant stabbing death begins
An inquest into the death of a baby girl found in a plastic bag in a laneway in Dun Laoghaire in 1973 has begun hearing evidence.
A post-mortem revealed that she died from a number of puncture wounds to her face, neck and chest.
Over the next four days, Dublin County Coroner's Court is to hear from up to 40 witnesses, including a woman who claims to be the mother of the baby.
