Focus Ireland welcomes action plan on homelessness

Focus Ireland has welcomed the launch by the Homeless Agency of its third action plan on homelessness entitled 'A Key to the Door'.

Focus Ireland Chief Executive, Declan Jones said: "The action plan's strong emphasis on prevention and the importance of putting in place a range of support measures to ensure the most marginalised people have access to safe, appropriate and affordable housing is in symmetry with Focus Ireland's own organisational strategy which runs from 2005-2010."

Mr Jones added: "Focus Ireland looks forward to continuing to work in partnership with other voluntary, statuary bodies and the Homeless Agency to build on the improvements made since the last action plan and actively playing its part in working towards eliminating homelessness by 2010."
