Green Party to launch document on urban planning
The Green Party will launch a document on urban planning today, in a Dublin cake shop.
A spokesman said the blueprint would make recommendations for the sustainable development of cities, towns and villages.
The document will be launched in the Daintree building on Camden St which the Greens said was: “a working model of good practice in sustainable urban planning”.
A national opinion pool carried out among 1,000 adults showed last week that the Greens had doubled their support among voters from 4% to 8%.
The party won six seats in the 2002 General Election with only 3% of the total vote.
The Greens are due to hold their national conference in Salthill, Co Galway.
